The first mini I fell in love with was from a batch of minis my brother bought for his friends. He told me I could keep it for myself, and to this day I am sad I have lost it. An elf with an eye patch, bow in hand, a hooded cloak.
Other than that I love pretty much any mini. If I had time, eyesight, I’d be painting them to this day. Unfortunately – I do not.
The biggest problem I have with minis is that if I would start using them I’d want to be all in. Only the proper mini for the proper PC or NPC, terrain, etc. But then am I really playing in a RPG or a strategy game? On the other hand I can see them used in something like The One Ring where you use the abstracted distances.
